Budget minded travellers (back packing) or even those who want a little privacy will find it at Hostel Nomba. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The hostel has  two kitchens and takes pride in the clean environment the helpful staff work hard to maintain. Groups are welcome too as they have a separate cabin which holds 8 people. However, it is very popular during holidays and weekends so book ahead. When it comes to budget accommodations in the “center of it all” Hostal Nomba fits the bill. They are just a few blocks from the bus stop, the supermarket, numerous restaurants, numerous bars, and hiking trails.

Finding Hostel Nomba is easy!

From the Central Park Bus Stop, go up the slight hill leading into town. Then walk left at the Mandarin Supermarket, and right at the next street. They are the 3rd building on the right which is painted bright green with excellent signage.

We didn’t even see the Valle Escondido Hotel for two very good reasons: in early 2003 the Hotel in Valle Escondido didn’t even exist and it’s hidden – Valle Escondido is Spanish for Hidden Valley! Our… Continue Reading
