Boquete Lodging

Writing about lodging in Boquete is difficult for me since I live here and never stay in a hotel or motel. This is an effort to introduce those places that I know, I welcome email or comments about other resources.

There are several low cost hostels in Boquete but I need information on them before I can add them to this list.

Villa Marita: If not for Rodrigo at Villa Marita and his sister Cecila I might not be in Boquete. Villa Marita is located in El Sanctuario, a beautiful and slightly removed area of town. It consists of a series of small cabins on a hillside and a lovely common area. There is free Wifi and most importantly a warm, friendly and very knowledgeable host.

Isla Verde: I have never stayed in Isla Verde but I have had many visitors who have enjoyed their time there. Isla Verde is located in the center of the town and does not require a car or taxi to access stores and restaurants. The owner, Eva is German and multilingual as well as being a charming person. Highly recommended.

Panamonte Hotel: The grande Dame of Boquete hotels is the Panamonte. I have enjoyed, food and drink there but never spent a night. The hotel is very popular with visiting Panamanians and is well located within walking distance of the town.

Hotel Valle del Rio: Located near the entrance of Valle Escondido the Valle del Rio opened in May 2008 and is a beautiful place to stay. It has free wifi and decent restaurants. It is within walking distance of the town.
